Ranger, Territory are Ford PH’s best-selling units in H1 2021

Ford Philippines showed a strong performance in terms of sales in the first half (H1) of 2021, with sales growing by 84 percent from last year. The commendable sales feat was led by the Ford Ranger and Territory.

The Ford Ranger came out at the top with 4,515 units sold, a 13 percent increase as compared to the first half last year. Moreover, Ford’s 4x4 pickup segment gets sales reaching 2,588 units, which translates to a 28 percent increase from last year’s sales.

Meanwhile, the Ford Territory managed to sell 3,323 units, securing a 56 percent market share in its respective segment. It also recently earned its 5,000 customer milestone which signifies its strong sales performance since its local debut last August 2020. Overall, Ford Philippines celebrates an H1 2021 sales performance of 9,855 units.

“The Ranger and Territory’s strong sales in the first half of the year is a testament to its sustained popularity in the market, and we thank our customers for their continued trust and preference towards our pickups and SUVs,” said Ford Philippines Managing Director Michael Breen.

The Ford Ranger is the Blue Oval company’s entry to the local midsize pickup truck segment. It comes with numerous variants to cater to the different mobility needs in the local market. Ford Philippines is offering its midsize pickup truck with a Ford Territory price that ranges from Php 1,155,000 to Php 1,758,000 for the new 2.0L Bi-Turbo FX4 MAX 4x4 AT variant.

On the other hand, the Territory compact crossover is the latest addition to the car brand’s local lineup, joining the EcoSport in Ford Philippines’ crossover family. It is offered with two variants, namely the base Trend variant priced at Php 1,277,000 and the Titanium+ offered at Php 1,310,000.

Ford Territory

The Ford Territory is a compact crossover SUV for the Philippine market. This five-seater model has two different trims, the Titanium X which is priced at Php 1,599,000 and the Titanium which has a price tag of Php 1,335,000. 

Size-wise, the next-generation 2023 Territory is 4,630mm long, 1,935mm wide, and 1,706mm in height. It has a wheelbase length spanning 2,726mm, and a ground clearance of 190mm. 

Propelling the Territory is a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine that’s able to produce up to 158 horsepower and 248 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to its front wheels via a seven-speed automatic gearbox.  

Locally, the Territory competes against the Toyota Corolla Cross, MG RX5, Chery Tiggo 7, Geely Azkarra, etc.
