Good news for Ford’s SUV fans is that the next-generation Ford Expedition 2018 has been confirmed for local debut at 2018 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS).

Regarded as the “smartest, most capable and most adaptable Expedition,” the 2018 Expedition is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies to become more convenient, more powerful and also, more protective than the outgoing model.
To start with, thanks to extensive use of high-strength aluminum steel and alloy, the body and chassis of the next-gen Expedition is now lighter and more durable. In detail, it is 136 kilograms lighter than its predecessor.

Interior-wise, a more high-tech cabin is clearly manifested in the Ford’s SYNC 3 infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and navigation system. Wi-Fi hotspot capability and wireless charging for smartphones that can support up to 10 devices are also on tap. Further, dual rear headrest entertainment screens are likewise set up to keep all passengers entertained during long rides.

The all-new Ford Expedition is powered by a more potent 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine coming paired with a 10-speed automatic gearbox. This engine can push out 375 PS and 637 Nm of max torque, which is 10 PS and 68 Nm more than the previous Expedition. Notably, the V6 engine in top-end models can muster more: 400 PS and 651 Nm.
At the present time, prices and variants available for 2018 have not been disclosed. So, stay tuned until the Ford Expedition 2018 makes it way at the 2018 MIAS in April. Referring to this car event, it will open its door to the public from April 5 to 8 at World Trade Center in Pasay City.

The Ford Expedition 2023 Philippines is a full-SUV, seven-seater SUV. For the Philippine market, it has two variants. These are the Expedition 3.5 V6 Limited Max, and the Expedition Limited Max w/ Bucket seats. Currently, these are available at Php 4,479,000 and Php 4,612,000 respectively.
Under the hood of the Philippine-spec Expedition is a 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine capable of producing up to 375 horsepower and 637 Nm of torque. The said model then uses a 4x4 drivetrain, and 10-speed automatic gearbox w/ paddle shifters.
Size-wise, the Expedition is 5,539mm long, 2,388mm wide, and 1,956mm in height. It also has a wheelbase length of 3,353mm, and a ground clearance of 249mm.
Locally, this full-size Ford model competes against the Toyota Land Cruiser, Nissan Patrol, and Chevrolet Suburban.
