A happy landlord often means a happy tenant. Always keep people in mind, The Net Group (TNG) – the Philippine green building pioneer hopes to inspire their tenants by putting a smile on their faces. The TNG has launched a co-operative initiative to alleviate the burdens of commuting for its tenants and officers.
At this time, Bonifacio Golbal City (BGC) tenants have relatively little access to just two modes of transportation: passenger jeepneys and shuttle buses. It is clear that both public utility vehicles (PUV) regularly get stuck in traffic.
EMotors and the Net Group to offer noise-free, emission-free e-shuttles in BGC
According to latest traffic updates, TNG and the local assembler and manufacturer of electric three-wheel shuttles Emotors, Inc (EMI) signed a partnership agreement to develop a free shuttle service utilizing EMotors’ ZÜM passenger e-shuttles for occupants of the TNG’s two buildings within the heart of upscale BGC: the Net Lima and the Net Park.
These two organizations share the same goal of limiting environmental pollution and degradation by using pure, sustainable electric vehicles. Of course, the TNG positions itself differently from other corporate entities by undertaking this initiative. But here’s the catch: this partnership is exclusive to employees and tenants of the TNG buildings within BGC.
EMotors President, Elizabeth H. Lee shared that the endeavor tries to create a win-win situation for all relevant stakeholders so that everyone benefits from the decision – using noise-free, emission-free, and safe electric shuttles.

Raymond Rufino, Co-President, TNG said that the company wants to relieve their BGC tenants’ commuting stress. The project is a pioneering effort of an office developer using the free point-to-point ZÜM electric vehicles to shuttle company officers, staffs and tenants within BGC on their journey to or from work. This move also supports the TNG’s corporate sustainability goals.
In line with the mentioned social objectives, the endeavor is also considered a new approach to help addressing three main social factors: women’s welfare, environmental protection and livelihood creation. In detail, the majority of the e-trike drivers are composed of women. The e-shuttles would lower our carbon footprint and tackle pollution. These vehicles are not only woman-friendly, but zero-noise, zero-emission electric vehicles as well. This means that they would offer less taxing, more fun journeys for drivers and passengers.
Elizabeth Lee added that the project is a way of caring of the TNG’s employees and tenants and provides them with more enjoyable and quicker travel time to the office. From what we gather at the moment, the initiative is still in its experimental stage. Do you think that the TNG occupants will love the service? Is it enough for us to see smiling faces in the BGC which has many traffic trouble spots known well?
