Converge acquires 200 Suzuki Carry units for its operations

The units will be used to improve Converge’s customer service.

Suzuki Auto San Fernando and Converge Communications & Information Technology Solutions, Inc. celebrated the Ceremonial Turnover of 200 units of Suzuki Carry.

The Ceremonial Turnover was attended by Laus Group of Companies (LGC) Executive Director Diorella Laus, Converge Co-Founder Grace Uy, Converge CEO Dennis Uy, LGC Chairman and CEO Lisset Laus-Velasco, and LGC President Paul Laus.

The Suzuki Carry has been a long partner by businesses around the world since the 60s. It is practical, reliable, and comes with a high-power and fuel-efficient 1.5-liter 4-cylinder K15B gasoline engine. The engine is capable of producing 96 hp and 135 Nm of torque.

The Suzuki Carry units can be used by Converge to further enhance its customer service, as well as the telecommunication service provider’s logistical requirements.

Converge customers anywhere in the country can be addressed to easier with the help of the Carry. Flooded areas are not a problem for the Carry as its engine air intake is placed in a high position. The Suzuki Carry can also drive through tight and narrow roads with ease thanks to its compact-truck nature.

In addition, the Suzuki Carry is installed with galvanized steel plates for its entire bed that can help avoid rust and corrosion. Rust-resistant sealers and undercoating are used for the underbody as well. With this, the Suzuki Carry is the most suitable vehicle for Converge’s daily fieldwork in different environments and weather conditions.

Suzuki Philippines Incorporated (SPH) currently offers the Suzuki Carry for as low as Php 499,000 for the base Cab & Chassis variant. SPH also offers the top-spec Carry 1.5 Utility Van variant for Php 614,000. Suzuki said that customization is available upon request of customers.

Suzuki Carry

The Suzuki Carry 2023 is the Japanese marque's entry to the commercial vehicle (CV) segment. It is available with various configurations and the Suzuki Carry 2023 starting price of Php 614,000 for the Cab and Chassis option. Powering this CV across the range is a 1.5-liter K15B gasoline engine capable of delivering 95 hp and 135 Nm of torque. This engine is connected to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard.

Dimensions-wise, the Carry Utility Van Body (UV) and the Lineman (LV) spans 4,344 mm in length, and 1,765 mm in width. The Utilivan is 2,030 mm in height, while the Lineman is 2,515mm in height with its ladder rack. Meanwhile, the Carry Truck is 4,195 mm long, 1,765 mm wide, and 1,910 mm high. And as for the Carry Cargo Van Body (CV), this configuration has a length of 4,237 mm, a width of 1,765 mm, and a height of 2,167 mm. In the Philippines, this CV is competing against the likes of the Mitsubishi L300, Isuzu Traviz, and Kia K2500.
