Chery Auto Philippines is taking every step in making its return to our market pay off. Aside from the crossover-only lineup strategy, the Chinese automaker has rolled out an improved after-sales program called Premium Preserv to its flagship 7-seater midsize crossover, the Tiggo 8 Pro.

Under the said program, the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro is available with an extended bumper-to-bumper general warranty from five years to seven years or 200,000 kilometers. It also has the same coverage for the engine warranty, while the PMS (preventive maintenance service) and roadside assistance programs run for three years.
All these after-sales programs aim to provide a worry-free car ownership experience with the Tiggo 8 Pro. The new flagship crossover is also looking to become a competitive model by offering a wide array of features while keeping an impressive value-for-money characteristic.
The entry-level variant of the Tiggo 8 Pro is priced at Php 1,645,000. It is equipped with a black and brown-themed cabin, 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with eight speakers, a 360-degree camera, and a 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine good for 195 horsepower and 290 Nm of torque.

Moreover, the 7-seater midsize crossover boasts an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) that offers Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keeping Assistance (LKA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Front Collision Warning (FCW), Blind Spot Detection, among others.
For a more potent powertrain, Chery Auto Philippines is offering the mid-spec Tiggo 8 Pro 2.0. It is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that delivers 254 horsepower and 390 Nm of torque. The top-spec Tiggo 8 PHEV is also part of the range, coming with an exclusive 150,000 km warranty on its lithium-ion battery.

The Tiggo 8 Pro 2023 is a seven-seater midsize crossover. In the local market, this model has two different variants, the Tiggo 8 Pro 1.6 AT, and the Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV. The Pro 1.6T AT is priced at Php 1,698,000, while the PHEV variant can be had for Php 2,500,000.
Under the hood, the Tiggo 8 Pro gets two engine options. For the top-spec PHEV trim, it uses a 1.5-liter inline-4 turbo gasoline engine that’s paired with an electric motor, as well as a battery. In total, this hybrid powertrain can produce up to 155 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque. This variant then uses a hybrid gearbox.
The non-hybrid version meanwhile, gets a 1.6-liter inline-4 turbo gasoline engine that’s good for 195 horsepower and 290 Nm of torque. This version then gets a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
Size wise, it is 4,722mm long, 1,860mm wide, and 1,745mm tall. It also has a wheelbase length of 2710mm.
Locally, the Tiggo 8 Pro competes against the Maxus D90, Honda CR-V, Kaicene CX70, Geely Okavango, GAC GS8, among others.
