Recently, Chery Auto Philippines posted a 351-percent sales increase in the first half of 2021 as compared to the same period last year. This shows that it will likely deliver promising results in terms of sales for the rest of the year.
The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro leads the way
Now, in the seventh month of 2021, the Chinese automaker managed to top its 2020 sales already by 42 percent more. Additionally, the brand’s July 2021 sales are up by 122 percent over July 2020. Part of the said feat is the slow recovery of the economy that first collapsed last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The highly encouraging positive results came from a combination of factors led by the growing awareness of the Chery brand and the high-value buyers get from our feature-packed crossovers,” said Chery Auto Philippines President Rommel Sytin.

One of the biggest contributors of Chery Auto Philippines this year is the Tiggo 7 Pro which made its local debut in January 2021. Despite being a newcomer, it managed to be a best-seller for the brand alongside the Tiggo 2 subcompact crossover. Other models in the Philippine lineup include the Tiggo 5x and 7-seater Tiggo 8.
All Chery Tiggo crossovers are powered by a 1.5-liter gasoline engine. However, only the Tiggo 7 Pro and Tiggo 8 get a turbocharger that amps the power output to 145 hp and 210 Nm of torque.

In addition, Chery Auto Philippines is offering its models with an industry-leading 10-year/one million km engine warranty, a 5-year general warranty, and a free full preventive maintenance service (PMS) for as much as three years.
“The intermittent lockdowns and the relentless heavy ruins underscore the importance of mobility more than ever and people are really searching for products that give maximum value and mobility for their hard-earned money. Our high-riding Tiggo models with water-wading depths as much as 600 mm meet all their needs,” concluded Sytin.
