Changan CS35 Plus offers bang for the buck features, owners say

Hearing car ownership testimonials are one of the most convincing factors that might drive you to get a particular model. So if you are considering buying a Changan CS35 Plus, you are in for a treat as Changan Motor Philippines, Inc. (CMPI) shared not one but three CS35 Plus ownership experiences.

Jay Clemente

First off is IT professional Jay Clemente, who has owned the Chinese subcompact crossover for two years now. He first saw the model while having another car serviced at a dealership that happens to carry Changan products.

“I knew nothing about the brand [but] the aesthetic quality of the exterior and interior amazed me. I asked more about it… I took the risk and up ‘til now, it still amazes me, my family, and friends. The driving’s really great, the aesthetic value of the exterior, the interiors,” said Clemente.

Clemente also commended the Changan CS35 Plus’ sound system. This feature likely persuaded him to get the crossover because sound quality coming from the car’s onboard speakers is important to him.

Note that the CS35 Plus comes standard with a 10-inch head unit with Bluetooth and Smartphone Mirroring. Depending on the trim, the head unit is then linked to four or six speakers.

Mark Banayad

Next up is Businessman Mark Banayad, who first saw the CS35 Plus at the 2022 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS). Now an owner of the top-of-the-line CS35 Plus Luxe in Draco Red, Banayad shared with us his own ownership experience, saying:

“Napa-wow ako sa engine performance. Buong buo ang feeling niya. You can overtake those long trucks, the 10-wheelers, hindi ka kakabahan. Naipasok nila ang Adaptive Cruise Control, ACC, AEB, digital cluster, panoramic sunroof… all those hi-tech features, which you get in cars worth five million.”

Powering the vehicle is a 1.4-liter turbocharged gasoline engine good for 158 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque. Performance is improved thanks to a 7-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission (DCT). Occupants of the CS35 Plus are then protected by the Safe-Tech system, which is the brand’s Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).

Athan Alonzo

Another IT practitioner by the name of Athan Alonzo is proud of the fact that he is the first owner of the Changan CS35 Plus Luxe in the country. One of the features that got him into the brand is the CS35 Plus’ design.

“I like best the DRL lights and taillights – super pogi. Pormado siya. Ang interiors, malaki. Sobrang packed ng features. Super smooth ang performance. Ang upuan, parang nakaupo ka sa yayamaning couch.”

(I like best the DRL lights and taillights – very handsome. It is stylish. The interior is roomy. It is packed with features. The performance is very smooth. As for the seats, it feels like sitting on a luxurious couch.)

He added that he felt that his ride’s fuel efficiency improved further as time passed. He especially felt this after its first Preventive Maintenance Schedule (PMS).

The reach of the crossover is expanding

Note that Jay, Mark, and Athan are members of the rapidly growing Changan CS35 Plus Pinas Group. Out of their love for the crossover, they organized the very first CS35 Plus joy ride to the rolling hills of Tanay. They are planning to go on more trips in other parts of the country driving their CS35 Plus.
