Caltex has rolled out its newest diesel fuel for the Philippine market, the Caltex Power Diesel with Techron D. Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), the marketer of Caltex in the country, said the new product offers twice the cleaning power of its regular variant.

As a result, the new diesel product improves the performance of diesel-powered cars by removing deposits forming in engines. Caltex claims the fuel restores 100 percent of lost power after only two full tanks. Not only that, its cleaning power can improve fuel efficiency, which should save customers some gas money.
The Caltex Power Diesel with Techron D already passed four industry-accepted engine and lab tests – clean test, power test, corrosion test, and foam test. With these test results, the company assures the fuel’s readiness for the local market.
In the clean and power tests, Caltex saw improvements in terms of flow and power. Meanwhile, the corrosion test revealed the new diesel product can protect metal surfaces from corrosive agents. As for the foam test, the company proved the fuel eliminates foam, as well as has a faster collapse time for a cleaner and faster filling experience.

If it isn’t obvious enough, only diesel-powered cars get to benefit from the new product. Some of the best-selling diesel cars in the country include the Toyota Hilux, previous-generation Toyota Innova, Toyota Fortuner, and Nissan Navara.
“Keeping your engine clean will improve your vehicle’s fuel economy and provide efficient engine power to help you reach more places and farther distances for much less fuel cost,” said CPI Country Chairman Billy Liu.
"Caltex Power Diesel with Techron D is the most advanced product offering from Caltex that is sure to help diesel car owners bring life and power back to their overworked engines,” added Liu.
The Caltex Power Diesel with Techron D has already been made available in Malaysia and Thailand. Locally, CPI is starting to roll out the product to various Caltex stations, which should include the new flagship station in BGC.
