In recent years, luxury sports car brands have been introducing their respective SUVs, a move that was once considered impossible. One of the car brands that joined the SUV fray is British marque Aston Martin which launched the DBX SUV, the brand’s first SUV in its 107-year run in the automotive industry.

The Aston Martin DBX made its world debut in 2019. The DBX is a crossover SUV, a vehicle that can accommodate up to five occupants. In 2020, the DBX officially made its ASEAN debut during the 41st Bangkok International Motor Show in Thailand.

With that in mind, the DBX is set to arrive in the Philippines. This was announced by Aston Martin Philippines on its official Facebook page.
The Aston Martin DBX is a 5-seater midsize luxury SUV that comes with design cues similar to the Vantage. It will be joining other Aston Martin vehicles which include the Aston Martin DB11 and the Vantage.

Designer Marek Reichman shared that they stretched the DBX SUV as far out as possible while retaining the sports car appeal that’s synonymous with an Aston Martin vehicle.
As for its dimensions, the DBX SUV spans 5,039 mm in length, 1,998 mm in width, and 1,680 mm in height.

A first for the British car brand
Under the hood, the Aston Martin DBX borrows Mercedes-AMG’s M177 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine capable of making 542 hp and 700 Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a 9-speed Tronic automatic transmission. The DBX SUV has a top speed rated at 290 km/h and can run from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds.
As of this writing, Aston Martin Philippines hasn’t disclosed the exact date of its availability. Aston Martin Philippines also hasn't put out the full specification for the PH-spec 2021 DBX, as well as its official pricing.

Aston Martin DB11 Launch
The Aston Martin DB11 was launched as a replacement for the Aston Martin DB9 at the Geneva International Motor Show in March 2016. Car magazines from all over the world such as Car and Driver, Autocar, and Top Gear praised its well-built exterior and powerful engine. In 2017, it received the Golden Steering Wheel Award from the largest European digital publishing house, Axel Springer.
In 2018, the legendary British premium carmaker unveiled the Aston Martin DB11 Volante, a convertible version with the same 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine. In the same year, they launched the Aston Martin DB11 AMR as a replacement for the Aston Martin DB11 V12.
In the Philippines, the Aston Martin DB11 was made available in February 2017.
Aston Martin DB11 Exterior
The Aston Martin DB11 measures 4,739mm long, 1,940mm wide, and 1,279mm tall.
Critics hailed it as one of the most beautiful coupes ever produced courtesy of its long hood, narrow side windows, and broad front grille. Other highlights include the all-aluminum door structures, LED headlamps with daytime running, side, and cornering lights, LED blade tail lights, a deployable spoiler equipped with the Aston Martin Aeroblade system, and the curlicue aero feature located on the wings at the front.
To complete its modern regal look, the Aston Martin wears a set of 20-inch 10-spoke diamond-turned silver wheels.
Aston Martin DB11 Interior
The luxury continues inside the Aston Martin DB11. The driver and passengers will enjoy premium features such as the monotone Strathmore leather interior with Alcantar highlights and leather trimmings, windscreen with a layer for noise-insulation, heated front seats with three memory positions, heated and power-folding mirrors, a trip computer, remote control central door lock with boot release, and an electronic cluster with mode displays.
Technology & Safety Features
The Aston Martin DB11 is fitted with an eight-inch LCD screen paired with the company’s highly efficient audio system. It offers an AM/FM radio with Bluetooth and phone streaming.
In terms of safety, it is equipped with a generous number of airbags, cruise control, speed limiters, tire pressure monitoring systems, security alarms, immobilizer, and more.
Platform & Chassis
The Aston Martin DB11 is manufactured using a bonded and extruded aluminum body structure. It is fitted with an independent double-wishbone suspension at the front and a multi-link suspension at the rear.
Engine & Drivetrain
The Aston Martin DB11 is a rear-wheel-drive sports car available with a V8 engine that produces 503 horsepower with 675 Newton Meters and a V12 engine that emits 600 horsepower with 700 Newton meters. Both are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
