The all-new 2022 Honda HR-V officially made its debut in Indonesia featuring a total of four variants including the top-spec RS Turbo trim.
All-new 2022 Honda HR-V debuts in Indonesia
The 2022 Honda HR-V RS Turbo is equipped with a 1.5-liter VTEC turbo gasoline engine that delivers 175 hp and 240 Nm of torque, the same power output rating as the 11th generation Civic. It also comes with three driving modes: Sport, Normal, and Econ. The HR-V’s engine is connected to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The non-RS HR-V is powered by a 1.5-liter DOHC i-VTEC engine that produces 119 hp and a maximum torque of 145 Nm.
The all-new HR-V that debuted in Indonesia is a preview of what the Philippine market will be getting come next month. Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI) already announced that the 2022 HR-V will be making its local debut on April 19.
Unlike the Indonesian market, the PH-spec next-gen Honda HR-V will only be offered in two variants, and the RS Turbo trim is not among the local options. Honda’s RS badge means that the vehicle comes with a different exterior and interior design that makes it standout from the regular variants.

In the case of the Indo-spec HR-V RS Turbo, it is fitted with a bolder grille in black, an RS aero kit, dual exhaust pipes, and a black leather-trimmed interior with red stitching. The RS Turbo trim also features a hands-free power tailgate.
The Indo-spec 2022 Honda HR-V also comes with an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen, a panoramic sunroof, and flexible luggage space with three modes, namely Long Mode, Utility Mode, and Tall Mode.
HCPI previously said that the local-spec HR-V will come in two trims only: a turbocharged version and a non-turbo variant. The base S variant will have a 1.5-liter DOHC i-VTEC engine while the top-spec V variant will come with a 1.5-liter VTEC turbocharged power unit.

The power unit options that the Philippine market will get are the same as the Indonesian market. Both the PH- and Indo-spec all-new Honda HR-V also comes with Honda Sensing advanced driver assistance system that includes the following:
- Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS)
- Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow (LSF)
- Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS)
- Road Departure Mitigation System with Lane Departure Warning (RDM with LWD)
- Auto High-Beam (AHB)
- Lead Car Departure Notification System (LCDN)
HCPI will launch the next-gen HR-V on April 19 at 2:00 p.m. virtually via its official Facebook page. It will be offered in two variants starting from Php 1,300,000 for the S CVT to Php 1,600,000 for the Turbo CVT. Interested individuals can start to reserve by April 1, 2022.
