2022 Honda Civic V mid variant now in PH showrooms nationwide

Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) announced that the all-new 2022 Civic V trim is now available for viewing in showrooms nationwide. The Honda Civic V is the model’s mid-spec variant that sits in between the base S and top-spec RS. Let’s take a look at what Filipino car buyers can get from this fresh variant.

Exterior-wise, the Honda Civic V is equipped with a full LED headlight setup with automatic adjustments, LED daytime running lights (DRLs), LED fog lights, LED taillights, power adjust and folding side mirrors, and a set of 17-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, passengers are greeted by fabric seats, with a 60:40 split/folding function for the seats of the rear passengers. A 7-inch touchscreen head unit provides entertainment on the go, offering Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This infotainment system sends audio to the model’s 8-speaker setup.

It features a more mature design language inside and out

Safety is not compromised in the all-new Honda Civic as it is installed with a handful. Included in the standard safety features are four airbags, an anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), vehicle stability assist (VSA), multi-view reverse camera with guidelines, and emergency stop signal (ESS).

In addition, drivers get to benefit from the standard Honda Sensing, the car brand’s advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS). Features such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Low-Speed Follow (LSF), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), and Lane Departure Warning (LDW) are part of the said system.

Powering the vehicle is a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder DOHC VTEC turbocharged engine capable of generating 176 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque. All variants utilize a continuously variable transmission (CVT), sending power exclusively to the front wheels.

HCPI said that the mid-range Civic V variant is now available at all 37 Honda Cars dealerships nationwide with a price tag of Php 1,498,000, which is Php 192,000 lesser than the top-spec RS. It is available in three colors, namely the Morning Mist Blue Metallic, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, and Platinum White Pearl (additional Php 20,000).

The 2023 Honda Civic is a compact, five-door sedan. It is now in its eleventh-generation. For the Philippine market, the Civic has a price range of Php 1,583,000 to Php 1,775,000. It has three variants consisting of the V Turbo, and the RS Turbo as the top-spec trim. All of them are equipped with the Honda Sensing driver assist safety suite, and all use a 1.5-liter turbocharged VTEC inline-4 gasoline engine capable of making up to 175 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque. All trims use a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Size-wise, the 2023 Civic is 4,678mm long, 1,802mm wide, and 1,415mm in height. It wheelbase length measures 2,735mm long, and it has a ground clearance of 134mm.
