The car brand is said to officially announce the availability of the all-new GS4 sometime during the first or second week of December. We also learned that GAC could offer the upcoming GS4 with one variant only.

GAC Motors could most likely offer the all-new GS4 with an updated 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, the same power unit found on the Chinese-spec model. That said, the PH-spec GS4 could have a more potent engine as compared to the one fitted on the current locally available model.

The GAC GS4’s updated 1.5-liter turbo engine puts out 166 hp and 256 Nm of torque. To put things in perspective, the current GS4 offered in the Philippines delivers 150 hp and 235 Nm. As such, the updated engine produces 16 hp more, and gets an additional 21 Nm of torque. The transmission of the all-new PH-spec GS4 could most likely be a six-speed dual-clutch automatic.

The all-new GAC GS4 comes with a more composed exterior

Other than the power bump, the all-new GS4 comes with a revamped exterior, and interior design. Judging from the China-spec model, the GS4 features a more athletic exterior. It shares a bit of a similarity to the GN6’s front end

The 2022 GS4 is fitted with dual LED headlights that are integrated with LED daytime running lights. It also has a large grille that has horizontal slats, a design feature that can also be seen on the GN6. You’ll also notice the new angular bumper that houses the fog lights.

Turning at the side, the all-new GS4 has sharp character lines along with a new set of wheels. The rear, on the other hand, is equipped with slimmer LED taillights that look more distinctive than the current GS4 available in the Philippines. It also has a chrome bar that runs through the tailgate, creating a seamless effect while the bumper now has a bolder look.

Significant design updates are also integrated into the GS4’s interior. It features a refined layout that comes with a two-tone theme. Moreover, the dashboard has a straightforward layout due to the well-arranged buttons. The China-spec model also comes with piano black accents along with what appears to be a generous amount of soft-touch materials. And yes, the GS4 can still accommodate up to five individuals.

Pricing for the 2022 GAC GS4 has yet to be confirmed but our source indicates that it could be priced somewhere around Php 1.1 million. The said price makes sense since it’s somewhere within the price range of its segment rivals such as the Ford Territory, MG RX5, and the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro.
