As a bit of backtrack, Mitsubishi Philippines confirmed during its 66th Anniversary Expo that the all-new Triton will be arriving in the country by January 2024. MMPC will also drop the Strada name and use the Triton moniker in marketing its challenger in the midsize pickup truck segment. Speaking of which, the all-new Triton is set to go up against the likes of the Ford Ranger, Toyota Hilux, Isuzu D-Max, and Nissan Navara, among others.

Mitsubishi Philippines is offering the next-generation Triton in seven variants, with the pricing starting at Php 1,134,000 for the base GL 2WD MT trim. Meanwhile, the top-spec 2024 Triton Athlete 4WD AT retails at Php 1,915,000, which is within the price range of the next-gen Ford Ranger Wildtrak 4x4 that comes with a sticker price of Php 1,910,000.
