The next-gen version is designed with an unconventional but functional approach.

When Hyundai revitalized its Philippine lineup last year, the Santa Fe arrived with bolder aesthetics that appeared nothing short of looking up-to-date. Now, Hyundai Motor Company has just unveiled an even bolder look for the all-new iteration of its midsize crossover.

The upcoming fifth-gen Hyundai Santa Fe is showcasing a boxy off-road SUV silhouette similar to its larger crossover sibling, the Palisade. Hyundai is also integrating the interior with features that complement individuals who have outdoor lifestyles.

“The all-new Santa is an SUV that finds a perfect balance between city life and the great outdoors, handling everything from busy family itineraries to car camping adventures,” said Hyundai Global Design Center Executive Vice President and Head, SangYup Lee.

Exterior-wise, the next-gen Santa Fe is built with a long wheelbase and wide tailgate area. The crossover comes with H-shaped headlamps, along with design cues that make it look off-road ready. Turn to the rear and you will see the taillights that also take up the shape of the letter H.

The H motif continues into the interior as it is applied on the dashboard and air vents. Hyundai revealed the interior offers “generous living space for an effortless outdoor lifestyle.” The fully foldable second- and third-row seats provide more cargo space, allowing passengers to carry more equipment on outdoor trips.

Sustainable materials have also made their way into the crossover. Recycled plastic is used for the suede headliner, car mats, and second- and third-row seatbacks, while eco-friendly leatherette is applied for the crash pad and door trims.

Other interior amenities include a wireless charger and a panoramic curved display that connects the digital cluster and infotainment systems.

Hyundai has yet to reveal the full specs such as the powertrain details of the all-new Santa Fe. The Korean automaker will debut the next-gen Santa Fe in August on its YouTube channel.

“With its longer wheelbase, roomy interior, and terrace-like tailgate space, the new Santa Fe leans into its SUV strengths to offer more versatility than ever before, as well as a premium customer experience,” added Lee.
