Hariphil Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the authorized distributor of Hyundai trucks and buses in the country, is offering the HD78 GT with a motorcycle carrier configuration.
Hyundai HD78 GT Motorcycle Carrier
Considering that more motorcyclists are plying the roads, entrepreneurs can take advantage of the sector’s rising sales with the motorcycle carrier truck. Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) reported earlier this year that EDSA saw a 58.79 percent increase in motorcycles traversing EDSA over the pre-pandemic period
The Hyundai HD78 GT features an extra long wheelbase (ELWB) variant with a deck length that can reach 5,944 mm and a payload capacity of approximately 3,900 kg. HARI claims the truck can accommodate up to 24 motorcycles. It is supported by a rigid, high-strength ladder frame chassis that can take on heavy cargo.
Inside, the HD78 GT is said to come with “spacious, driver-friendly amenities.” To beat the heat, the truck also gets an air-conditioned cabin.
The truck can accommodate 24 motorcycles
Powering the light-duty truck is a 2.9-liter turbodiesel engine capable of delivering 158 horsepower and 392 Nm of torque. The power unit is matched with a five-speed manual transmission. It also has a built-in PTO (Power Take-Off) that channels power from the engine to make auxiliary equipment work.
For a more convenient ownership experience, the HD78 GT comes with a three-year or 200,000-km cab and chassis warranty on top of the basic warranty (varies by body build/manufacturer).
Entrepreneurs can also opt for other wheelbase configurations including medium wheelbase (up to 4,572 mm) and long wheelbase (up to 5,486 mm). With a versatile wheelbase, the truck can be configured as an aluminum or wing van, dropside, garbage dump truck, and refrigerated van.
Entrepreneurs can capitalize on the growing motorcycle sales with this truck
HARI is also offering a smaller light-duty truck with the HD45 GT. One of its biggest advantages is the gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 4,490 kg. This allows the truck to be exempted from the MMDA’s truck ban.
