2022 Toyota Gazoo Racing Vios Cup Leg 1 winners

Hats off to the victors. 

Toyota Motor Philippines officially started the 2022 season for the Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) Vios Cup. The first leg of this event already took place last weekend on July 2, 2022, and so the car brand has already released the list of winners for the said leg.

As with previous TGR Vios Cup seasons, there were three categories. There’s Super Sporting, Sporting, and the Promotional Class. In total, 27 racers hopped into their race-spec Vios to put their skills to the test. 

Apart from that, there’s also the Autocross Challenge wherein influencers, media personalities, and celebrities showed what they got in terms of precision driving by navigating through an obstacle course as fast as they can.

Besides the real-life racing that took place, TMP also released the list of winners for the latest round of the GR GT Cup and the GR GT Cup virtual racing competition. As the name implies, this is an e-racing event that is held within the digitally crafted race tracks of Gran Turismo.

A total of 7 Toyota Vios variants are offered, with the top-of-the-line Vios GR-S variant coming with a tag of PHP 1,055,000. Two engine options are available in the range, which can be connected to either a 5-speed manual or continuously variable transmission (CVT). Dimensions-wise, the subcompact sedan spans 4,425 mm in length, 1,730 mm in width, and 1,475 mm in height. The main rivals of the Toyota vehicle include the Honda City, Mitsubishi Mirage G4, and Nissan Almera.
