The Japanese automaker first unveiled the Nissan Z GT4 in September when it said that the model will continue the “story and legend of the fabled sports car.” It was launched at the aforementioned auto show in partnership with Nissan Motorsports and Customizing Co., Ltd. (NMC).

“The SEMA show is an ideal place to debut our Z GT4 to racers, enthusiasts, and the entire industry,” said Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. Global Program Director for sports cars, Michael Carcamo.

“We are in the throes of preparing for the 2023 racing season – testing here locally this past weekend – and we look forward to continuing to talk with teams and continue to establish the Z as a force to be reckoned with on tracks around the world,” added Carcamo.

Based on the all-new Nissan Z, the GT4-spec version is made exclusive for track use only. Exterior-wise, the sports car features a black and red Nismo color scheme with the brand’s signature number 23 (two and three in Japanese sounds like “ni” and “san,” respectively). Meanwhile, the interior comes with a roll cage, a racing steering wheel, and weight reduction tweaks.

Powering the vehicle is the same 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine found in the street version of the Z. But the power is bumped to 450 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque from 399 horsepower and 475 Nm of torque. Note that the said performance figures are subject to Balance of Performance defined by the SRO.
