Last year, Japanese automaker Nissan introduced the second facelift of the sixth-gen Patrol. The updated full-size SUV comes with new features and styling that one can say make the model become more like its other Nissan siblings in the lineup.
Nissan Philippines is adding the facelifted Patrol
Now, Nissan Philippines announced that the facelifted model will be joining the local lineup. No official specifications have been disclosed by the company just yet. As such, let’s take a look at the Nissan Patrol launched last year so know what we can expect for the 2022 PH-spec model.
The Nissan Patrol now sports the brand’s V-Motion grille that emphasizes the proportions of the front fascia. It is surrounded by new headlights with boomerang-like daytime running lights which are visible in the teaser photo. Moreover, the revamped and larger headlight housings make use of the space upfront.
It is now more modern than ever
At the side and rear, the new model might still look similar to the outgoing version. However, Nissan updated a few exterior features such as new taillights, full-width chrome trim that connects the two rear lights, a new set of wheels, and a more pronounced rear garnish.
Moving to the interior, there’s not a lot of changes made aside from the rearrangement of the screen and controls on the center console. But at least the new version is now equipped with the brand’s Nissan Intelligent Mobility safety suite which provides a handful of driver-assistance features.
The Nissan Patrol launched last year
Under the hood, the Nissan Patrol is expected to still be powered by the same 5.6-liter V8 gasoline engine from the pre-facelift model. The engine is capable of sending 400 hp and 560 Nm of torque to all four wheels via a 7-speed automatic transmission with a manual shift mode.
Nissan Philippines will debut the 2022 Patrol on December 10, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. Interested individuals may catch the launch through Nissan Philippines’ Facebook and YouTube pages. Hopefully, the company will also bring in the Nismo edition of the full-size SUV soon enough.
