A few months ago, we talked about the Honda N7X concept vehicle. And if you’ve kept up with this news, you might be of the mind that this particular concept model is a big deal for the marque in the context of the ASEAN market.

Fast forward to September, and Honda Indonesia is gearing up to launch the production model of the 2022 Honda N7X. As of the writing of this article, not much is revealed, but the official Honda Indonesia website is already showing a countdown timer to the said model’s launch tomorrow. Along with the countdown is a vehicle wrapped in shadow, which looks pretty close to the N7X concept.

Specifically, the said event will be livestreamed on the Hondaisme (Honda Indonesia) YouTube channel on September 21, 2021, at 4:00 pm Indonesia time, or 5:00 pm Philippine time.

If you don’t know what the N7X is, the concept model is a seven-seater MPV that bears a consistent exterior design to other recently released Honda models. For that matter, it bears a sharp and very front fascia.

It is reportedly set to replace the BR-V MPV. And like the said model, the production model N7X is likely to get a 1.5-liter engine. It wasn’t stated as to which Honda engine specifically, but reports are saying that it could make around 119 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque. Interestingly enough, this output is identical to the current seventh-generation Philippine-spec Honda City which uses the Honda L15B1 engine.

For transmissions, reports have also stated that it will likely use a five-speed manual gearbox or a continuously variable transmission. Again, that’s similar to the Honda City for the Philippine market.

Regarding its interior, on-board tech, and safety equipment, not much is known as of yet. As mentioned though, it is a seven-seater model. We can also expect that it will come with a significant amount of on-board features, as well as driver-assist features.
