The Subaru WRX STI S208 has finally winged its way at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show with a raft of aesthetic and performance modifications.

To commence with, the new sedan is covered by an impressive NBR Challenge Package with new side skirts, front and rear spoiler lips and matte black 19-inch BBS alloy wheels. Furthermore, it is also furnished with a rear wing, carbon-fiber roof and “S208” badges on the grille and plate.

Moving inside, the S208 is given an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel which is adorned by STI logo and contrasting stitching. Red highlights also overlay the main dashboard trim, leather bucket seats and aluminum pedals as well. Between the SI-DRIVE selector and the gear shifter is now a serial plate, making the sedan far more exclusive.

In the matter of hardware, the new Subaru WRX STI S208 is currently blessed with an EJ20 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine capable of 329 PS at 7,200 rpm and 432 Nm from 3,200 to 4,800 rpm. Power is fed to all four wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.

As we mentioned earlier, there are only 450 units of the Subaru WRX STI S208 to be sold in Japan.
