In January 2018, Ford Edge 2019 was announced to get a refreshment in the US and now its Euro-spec version has made its public debut during the ongoing 2018 Geneva Motor Show. According to latest car news, the SUV is scheduled to hit Ford dealerships in European markets later this year.

Similar to its American sibling, the all-new Ford Edge 2019 will also come equipped with:
- A larger radiator grille along with particular finish for each variant;
- LED tail lamps and head lamps (standard across the line);
- LED daytime running lights (available as an option).
Exclusive to the Euro-market Edge is a 2.0L diesel engine
Exclusive to the Euro-market Edge is a 2.0L diesel engine, while no gasoline-fed engine options are available. As reported, the SUV will include a diesel-powered EcoBlue version which is able to generate 238 hp (175 KW) thanks to its high-tech bi-turbocharging system. It is expected that the Edge will be highly optimized in terms of harshness and vibration, noise and low-end torque, and provide linear and smooth acceleration too.
No gasoline-fed engine options are available for the European-market Edge
The 6-speed automatic transmission found in the pre-facelift model is now replaced by an all-new 8-speed auto unit with a fresh rotary gearshift on the centre console. This feature has been adjusted so as to meet driving expectations of European customers and will be offered for the abovementioned biturbo diesel engine with AWD system and the 150 hp version as well. Meanwhile, the 2.0 diesel version delivering 190 hp, the third engine option, will be available with only a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Besides, the Euro-spec Ford Edge 2019 will come with a set of safety and assistive technologies as well as new comfort extras as follows:
- Adaptive Cruise Control along with Stop-and-Go;
- Post‑Collision Braking;
- Evasive Steering Assist;
- Lane Centring Assist;
- An B&O Play premium sound system with 10 channels;
- A full-length glass sunroof;
- An advanced 3D digital instrument cluster.
The SUV will come in with four variants with a newly-added trim dubbed as ST-Line
The SUV will come in with four variants, namely Trend, Titanium, Vignale and ST-Line which has just been announced to be added to the lineup early this year. The ST line is designed to enhance the vehicle's desirability to customers who prefer the typical sporty style of ST models. This trim level features with:
- Dual exhausts;
- Chrome tips;
- Aluminium sports pedals;
- Special leather interior;
- 10-way power front seats;
- Either 20-inch or 21-inch wheels.
