Volvo XC40 2018 out in Australia with 4 variants, each has a Launch Edition

Volvo introduces 4 variants this time with D4 R-Design, D4- Momentum, T5 R-Design, and T5 Momentum.

The Volvo XC40 2018 has just been released in Australia. The compact SUV comes with 2 engine options: the T5 petrol and the D4 Diesel while offering R-Design and Momentum trims. Coming along with these choices, Launch edition versions can be had with additional kit. The prices range from AU$47,999 (equivalent to roughly P1.9M) to AU$59,740 (P2.3M).

The two turbocharged 4-cylinder engines are both mated with All Wheel Drive and an AW TG-81SC 8-speed automatic transmission. To put into comparison, while the mill of the T5 dole out 350 Nm and 252 Hp, the D4’s produces 400 Nm and 190 HP.

Speaking of the Momentum, 18-inch allow wheels come standard along with a wireless smartphone charger, Android Auto Support, Apple CarPlay, 9-inch touchscreen infotainment, 8-speaker sound system, 12.3 inch display instrument cluster, lumbar support equipped in the powered driver’s seat, fabric upholstery, and LED headlamps using Thor’s Hammer DRLs.

On the other hand, the R-Design is featured with its styling pack including R-Design gear lever, paddle shift equipped in the R-Design driving wheel, sports chassis, black headliner coming in Nappa leather/ Nubuck textile upholstery, R-Design badging, 2-tone paintjob, 20-inch black alloy wheels, twin integrated tailpipes on 2 sides, and a gloss black grill.

Furthermore, the R-Design consists a system of ambient lighting to ornate the interior, a gesture-opening electric tailgate, keyless entry, Active Bending Lights, and a powered front passenger seat.

As for the Momentum limited edition, the additional features include heated front seats, Harman Kardon audio system, Pilot Assist equipped in the adaptive cruise control, Active Bening Lights equipped in LED headlights, and a sunroof.

The kit even expands with leather upholstery, electric front passenger seat adjustment, an electric tailgate, keyless entry, Park Assist Pilot, manual front seat cushion expansion, full-view camera, and 19-inch diamond-cut alloys.

The R-Design limited edition comes standard with Harman Kardon audio system, full-view camera system, Park Assist Pilot, Pilot Assist equipped in the adaptive cruise control, heated front seats and also a sunroof. Some of the above-mentioned items are also available in standard Volvo XC40 2018.
