Walking around, the new Camry features a more daring look with upswept character lines from front to rear, a large lower grille and a sleeker roofline. It also gets a bigger size with 4,885 mm in length, 1,840 mm in width and 1,840 mm in height. Especially, the Toyota Camry 2019 is now developed from Toyota’s modular platform named TNGA-K which is also used in the all-new Toyota RAV4.

The base version is armed with a 2.0L engine which is capable of doling out 165 hp and 199 Nm of torque. The new 2.5L powertrain is considerably stronger than the ongoing Toyota Camry, producing 207 hp and 250 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the hybrid version comes with a standard 2.5L powertrain cranking out 209 hp. The engines work in a conjunction with a 6-speed automatic, 8-speed automatic and a CTV transmission, respectively.

At present, there is no clue revealing whether the Toyota Philippines' local model lineup will welcome this latest version of the Camry. However, the hybrid is expected to jump into the local range thanks to the favorable tax breaks in the TRAIN law.
