Finally, the Nissan Patrol Royale 2018 has been here. For 2018, this full-sized SUV is more powerful than ever and perhaps, at this time, it is the most potent Nissan in the Philippines, exclusive of the GT-R.
The 2018 Patrol Royale packs an all-new 5.6L VK56VD naturally-aspirated V8 engine
Giving an answer to the added power, the 2018 Patrol Royale packs an all-new 5.6L VK56VD naturally-aspirated V8 engine with direct injection and Variable Valve Event and Lift System. This big mill currently can generate an impressive output of 400 PS and a max torque of 560 Nm versus 320 PS and 533 Nm of the dated VK56DE. Sending power to the four wheels is thanks to a new 7-speed automatic gearbox working in conjunction with a 4WD system.

Let’s turn your gaze on the outside. You will immediately be impressed by a refreshed front fascia that differentiates the new Nissan Patrol Royale from the pre-facelift trims. There, you can spot a more angular front bumper adorned with sturdy and prominent character line. Nearby, a pair of fog lamps is now larger. The front grill is new as well featuring an “egg-crate” look in place of a “honeycomb” unit of the predecessor.
Also new at the front are new LED headlamps with an exclusive light signature. Towards the rear, the LED taillights come with an updated look while 20-inch wheels on the side welcome revised multi-spoke design.

The rest of the new Patrol is preserved. In addition, to make this sturdy SUV easier to maneuver, an Around View Monitor has been offered as standard.
Interior-wise, the cabin is outstanding with an 8-inch touchscreen and upgraded Bose premium sound system with 13 speakers in total. User’s comfort and functionality are also far improved with power adjustability at the front seats and a memory function at the driver’s side. Notably, headrest-mounted display screens are fully set up at the second row seats. Being a giant full-sized SUV, as you might expect, the Patrol can house up to 8 adults.
