As we have known, Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) premiered the new Blue Power Technology engine for the Isuzu MU-X 2018 and the Isuzu D-max 2018 in Metro Manila to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the company. Last weekend, the two updated models were officially introduced in the Queen City of the South, Cebu from October 20 to 22, 2017 at the Northwing Atrium of SM City Cebu.

Mr. Hajime Koso, President of IPC as well as the host of the debut expressed his positive belief and enthusiasm about the introduction of the Isuzu MU-X 2018 and the Isuzu D-Max 2018 in the Visayan Region. Besides, Mr. Steve Gingto, General Manager of Isuzu Cebu Incorporated, other IPC officials and even Isuzu Thailand’s delegates were also in attendance at the car event.

Mr. Koso-san said that Cebu was considered as a special market for Isuzu vehicles, especially for the light commercial segment. With the coming of the all-new Blue Power Technology engine, Isuzu believes to sustain its growth if not exceed its current market share in Cebu.

As mentioned in our previous articles, the upgraded MU-X and D-Max are now equipped with the 3.0L Blue Power 4JJ1-TCX turbodiesel Euro 4 engine which is capable of cranking out 175 hp and 380 Nm. Certainly, the new engine is more excellent than the previous one.
