The 5th-gen model still remains a boxy body, an e-boxer engine of its predecessor and the trademark Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive of the Japanese carmaker. It now comes equipped with the EyeSight driver-assist tech and the Subaru Global Platform which are the newest core technologies of Subaru.

According to the latest car news, the Taiwanese-spec Subaru Forester 2019 comes available with 4 versions. All are armed with a 2.0L direct-injection gasoline powertrain which is capable of doling out 154 hp and 196 Nm of torque, works in a conjunction with a Lineartronic CVT. Additionally, the car will not be available with a turbocharged engine.
All versions of the Forester get some essential convenience and safety features including auto vehicle hold, knee, curtain, side, front airbags and a high-level multifunction display.
All versions are armed with a 2.0L direct-injection gasoline powertrain
Meanwhile, the higher versions receive Subaru Rear Vehicle Detection and the EyeSight technologies. The former includes rear cross-traffic alert, lane-change support and covers blind-spot detection. The latter comes with features like lead vehicle start alert, adaptive cruise control and throttle and pre-collision braking management.
Speaking of the changes in the interior, the new Subaru Forester 2019 boasts a larger space for both occupants and cargo, compared with the previous model. It is also added some fresh features to enhance passenger comfort and driving ergonomics.
