2017 Mercedes E-Class E 220 d LWB rolled out with attractive price

All-new E 220 d LWB variant of the Mercedes E-Class has officially introduced in Indian at INR 57.14 Lakhs (₱ 4,417,173).

The Mercedes E 220 d LWB is Mercedes-Benz’s latest model launched in India which is expected to continue the success of E-Class lineup in this market.

As for the styling, the E 220 d is quite similar to its two “brothers” E 350 d and E 200 which are sold exclusively in India and China. However, this car has a longer wheelbase than that of standard versions. As a result, the sedan for sale is much larger and the German car manufacturer can freely show its own design language both on the exterior and inside.

Accordingly, the E 220 d is decorated with LED headlamps, daytime running lights, and a panoramic sunroof along with a set of 17-inch alloy wheels. In the cockpit, the car features 64-colour ambient lighting, three-zone THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control. Besides, it is also compatible with 12.3-inch COMAND online infotainment system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, steering-mounted touchpads, Attention Assist, and Parking Pilot.

In the cockpit, the car features 64-colour ambient lighting, three-zone THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control

Under the hood, the E 220 d LWB is equipped with an all-new 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel engine delivering 192hp at 3,800 rpm and 400 Nm of torque between 1,600 rpm and 2,800 rpm. The turbo engine is paired with a 9G TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission. With this power, the 220 d can is able to sprint from the standstill to 100 km/h within 7.8 seconds before reaching a maximum speed of 240 km/h.

The 2017 Mercedes E-Class E 220 d LWB is now on sale in India at a starting price of ₱ 4,417,173.
