Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is the leading car company in the Philippines. Despite the remarkable status, the company continues to innovate mobility through Toyota Mobility Solutions Philippines, Inc. (TMSPH), TMP's wholly-owned subsidiary that provides mobility solutions.
Toyota innovates mobility with the new Logistics Platform
The latest effort of TMSPH is the introduction of its Logistics Platform, a digital platform that provides real-time delivery status tracking for the daily management of a business. Mida Food Distributors Inc. (Mida Food), a seafood importer, distributor, and processor in the country, is the first to use the new system.
Thanks to the Logistics Platform, Mida Food can address limitations in its delivery operations such as difficulty in route planning due to various client restrictions, challenges with truck capacity, and lack of visibility in delivery status.
Moreover, the platform generates the ideal route and loading plan that easily integrates the variable delivery conditions. Drivers are also equipped with a mobile application for real-time updates on the delivery status to Mida Food.
Enrique Miguel Valles, Mida Food President/COO
TMP recalled the number of tests TMSPH conducted with Mida Food to improve the system – from order taking to warehouse operation, and dispatch.
"TMSPH has been instrumental in modernizing the way we plan, manage, and track our goods movement during our last mile fulfillment. Their inputs, as we continue to improve our systems, have been invaluable, and together we are realizing efficiencies through their logistics platform," said Mida Food President/Chief Operating Officer (COO) Enrique Miguel Valles.
"We are thankful for TMSPH's assistance in helping us continually add value to the products and services we offer our customers," added Valles.
TMSPH has been hands-on in delivering mobility solutions. Apart from the Logistics Platform, the company launched a rolling advertisement project last year, promoting the brand’s Kinto One. It is also looking to offer a rental term based on hours for Toyota cars such as the Vios and Innova.
