Toyota revealed its plan on how it will achieve carbon neutrality at an online press briefing held last December 2021. The Japanese car brand aims to make its goal a reality by previewing 15 planned models, which are all powered by battery electric vehicles (BEV).

Among the previewed BEVs, one concept car has drawn the attention of some individuals as it looks like the successor of the FJ Cruiser. The concept car we’re talking about is the Compact Cruiser electric vehicle (EV).
The Toyota Compact Cruiser EV concept comes with distinctive design details. It features crips character lines that complement the concept car’s wide stance. With the said design approach, one can indeed see or notice that the Compact Cruiser EV could be considered the FJ Cruiser’s evolution. Or you can also say that the Compact Cruiser EV is the ripped successor of the FJ Cruiser.
It comes with distinctive styling
The Compact Cruiser EV concept is created by Toyota’s European design team in Nice, France. Toyota said that the concept car took design cues from the brand’s off-road heritage, and the Compact Cruiser EV is designed to enhance the lifestyles of its target customers. Speaking of which, Toyota is planning to tap individuals who have an active outdoor lifestyle once the Concept Cruiser EV is officially launched.
But, the Japanese car brand has yet to announce when will the Concept Cruiser EV enter production. Although, things are looking favorable for individuals who want to see the concept car launched into reality since it is part of Toyota’s planned EV models moving forward.

For now, let Toyota enjoy the accolade it recently got with the Concept Cruiser EV winning first place under the Concept Car category at the 2022 Car Design Awards. The Toyota Concept Cruiser EV bested other concept cars such as the Polestar O2, Astheimer Design team’s Aura, Audi Skysphere, Porsche Mission R, among others.
