Tomas Claudio St. in Manila to close for Skyway Stage 3 works

Since its opening last year, the Skyway Stage 3 has been aiding Filipinos with their everyday commute by providing a faster route to their destinations. This is why it is essential to continue improving the services of the expressway so motorists can traverse it safely.

MMDA is advising motorists to take alternative routes

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced that construction activities will be held for the said road network from August 5 until November 30, 2022. To offset the heavy traffic that will be caused by the closure of Tomas Claudio St., the agency urged motorists to take alternative routes.

Take Ramon Magsaysay Ave., turn left at Lacson Ave. (Nagtahan), straight ahead to Quirino Ave. Or turn left at Jesus St. to destination

From Osmeña Highway going to Valenzuela St., Sta. Mesa

Straight ahead to Quirino Ave. To Mabini Bridge and to the bridge down ramp turn right at Ramon Magsaysay Ave., turn right at Valenzuela St. to destination

From Osmeña Highway going to Beata St., Pandacan

Straight ahead to Quirino Ave., turn right at Tomas Claudio St. to destination

From Beata St., Pandacan to Quirino Ave.

Light vehicles take Tomas Claudio St. to Quirino Ave. To destination, while long trucks take Jesus St. to Quirino Ave.

The MMDA didn’t disclose the exact construction activities for the Skyway Stage 3. But it would be best for you to plan your trip ahead of time especially if you are looking to take the said routes until the end of November.

Aside from the Skyway Stage 3, the MMDA also recently conducted construction works along EDSA last month. Among the projects were the building of loading and unloading bays, installation of roofing and lighting, and the construction of a new sales road footbridge.
