In further breaking down that number, 81,395 of those were commercial vehicles, while 28,211 units were passenger cars. This represents a 12.7 percent increase compared to the same period last year (first quarter of 2023).

But while industry-wide growth has increased on a year-to-date basis, this year’s March sales seem to have slowed down compared to February 2023. For context, March 2024 saw 34,474 units sold, while February 2024 saw 38,072.
