Peugeot Philippines is on a roll in revitalizing its presence in our market, launching the new 5008, 3008, and 2008 crossovers under a new distributor. For those who want something bigger, the automaker is premiering the Traveller Premium MPV at the 2022 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS).
The Peugeot Traveller Premium has been updated in terms of style and space
Unlike its crossover stablemates, the Traveller Premium is imported directly from France, bringing style, space, and sophistication to journeys with family and friends.
The Traveller Premium stands 5,309mm long, 1,920mm wide, and 1,940mm high on a 3,275mm wheelbase. Sharp lines bisect the panels at the sides, complemented by the prominent arches housing 17-inch alloy wheels. The high beltline is matched by a generous greenhouse, translating to superb visibility all around.
A high seating position makes it easier for drivers to scan the road ahead
Opening the power sliding doors, up to eight occupants can fit inside the Traveller Premium’s cabin, now extended and redesigned for more space. The MPV is available with either a bench seat or captain’s chairs for the second row, with all seats featuring individual headrests.
A panoramic glass roof lets sufficient ambient light in for daytime drive, while LED mood lighting adds class to night journeys. The Traveller Premium is built not just for leisure but business as well, with retractable sliding tables on the 7-seater variant, turning the MPV into a mobile office.
The elevated seating position makes it easier for drivers to see the road from the cockpit. Four 12-volt sockets are available in the cabin, along with a USB port for mobile devices and a 220-volt socket for external appliances. A 7-inch capacitive touchscreen head unit offers Bluetooth hands-free connectivity and smartphone mirroring via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The more upscale variant comes with VIP Captain's Chairs on the second row
For safety, the Traveller Premium brings Programmable Cruise Control with Speed Limiter, Anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Electronic Stability Program, Hill Climb Assist, Driver Attention Alert, and Blind Spot Assist. The rear-view camera provides a 180-degree field of view, working with the front and rear parking sensors to safely guide the Traveller Premium’s heft through small spaces.
