Needless to say, the rising prices of fuel products in the country are very alarming. One of the main factors for the said crisis is the economic sanctions imposed on Russia due to the ongoing Ukraine invasion. But for Petro Gazz, the oil company is not following suit as it announced that it has rolled back its fuel prices.

The fuel price roll back is available nationwide

Petro Gazz is currently offering huge price adjustments on both its gasoline and diesel products for a limited time. The price of gasoline has been slashed by Php 3.60 per liter and diesel by Php 5.85.

When asked, the oil company said that it aims to “minimize the impact to motorists since we are expecting another round of oil price hike next week.” This projection was backed by the statement of the Department of Energy (DOE), saying that gasoline prices could reach as much as Php 100 per liter.

DOE Secretary Alfonso Cusi said that the price of the Brent crude oil per barrel is now at USD 125 (or around Php 6,500). He noted that the further increase in price per barrel is not unlikely, especially considering that Russia is one of the largest oil producers in the world.

Huge price adjustments

With Petro Gazz’s huge price adjustment, motorists can take advantage of it before fuel prices soar in the upcoming weeks. Individuals who take public transportation might also need to brace as transport groups have filed a petition that will raise the minimum fare to Php 15 due to the increasing fuel prices.

The price rollback is available at Petro Gazz’s gas stations nationwide. It will be up for grabs until March 13, with no recent announcement whether the oil company will continue to offer at least a similar promo or not.
