Located at the corner of Ayala Ave. and EDSA, the One Ayala Terminal aims to provide a safer and more convenient commuting experience with its modern facilities. This is a strategic effort from the Department of Transportation (DOTr) considering that the terminal is the gateway of many commuters to the city of Makati.

Present in the turnover ceremony were representatives from Ayala Land Inc., I-ACT, Land Transportation Office (LTO), Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA). It was spearheaded by DOTr Secretary Jaime Bautista.

Bautista also expressed his gratitude to Ayala Land Inc. for supporting the agency’s initiative to modernize the terminal. He said that the new terminal is a “sign of our commitment to reforming our public transport infrastructure.”

With the One Ayala Terminal, Filipinos can benefit from a more convenient commuting experience with the facility’s fully air-conditioned lobby. It also provides direct access to MRT-3 (Metro Rail Transit Line 3), as well as to public utility vehicle (PUV) terminals and other establishments in Makati City.

It is built for the convenience of Filipino commuters

Over 300,000 commuters are expected to use the One Ayala Terminal daily. Each of the three bays in the terminal can simultaneously accommodate nine buses in the queue, translating to a total of 27 buses. For enhanced convenience, the facility has restrooms, ample queuing areas, bike racks, and seats for PWDs, senior citizens, and pregnant women.

Another good news from the DOTr is the free EDSA busway rides to the public for 24 hours. Commuters can take advantage of this until the end of December. The I-ACT has been tasked to ensure the safety of each commuter on the EDSA busway.
