Nissan has rolled out a mid-cycle refresh of the Juke crossover in Europe. This is the second-gen model that is not sold in the Philippines at the moment, but some might want to see this crossover run on local roads again.
2024 Nissan Juke N-Sport
If one remembers, the Nissan Juke’s funky-looking first-gen version was introduced to the local market back in 2015. It made a strong impression on local buyers, mainly due to its unusual design, as well as its eye-catching and popular bright yellow color.
Fast forward to 2024, Nissan brought back a similar, albeit slightly more sedate yellow color option on the second-gen Euro-spec refresh. It likewise received a new N-Sport variant which adds a black roof, black colored wheel arch inserts, grille, and pillars.
From the side, it looks like a shrunken, more athletic version of the Nissan Qashqai
The interior of the refreshed 2024 Nissan Juke meanwhile, boasts a redesigned driver-centric dashboard that sports a 12.3-inch central display. This is paired with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster which can be configured to show a variety of driving-related information including navigation, tire pressure, and eco-drive performance.
On the Euro-spec Juke N-Sport trim, more eye candy is provided by yellow highlights on the instrument panel, around the air-conditioning vents, and on the base of the central touchscreen. More yellow trims also line its Alcantara leather seats.
Updated Juke from the rear
For more convenience, the updated Juke for the European market now comes standard with an electronic handbrake. All the while, it retains physical controls for its heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system. It also gets a wireless charging pad, as well as front and rear USB-A and USB-C charging ports.
Safety aboard the European 2024 Juke is handled by what you’d expect from a modern crossover. But apart from the latter, it likewise gets lane departure warning, emergency lane keep, a high-definition 1.3-megapixel rear camera, an around-view monitor, and an Intelligent Driver Alertness system, among others.

There are two powertrain options for the refreshed Euro-spec Nissan Juke. For the internal combustion-only trims, it uses a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine that can generate up to 115 horsepower and 180 Nm of torque. Power is sent to its front wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission or a six-speed manual gearbox.
The hybrid variants meanwhile, use a 1.6-liter inline-4 engine that can output 93 hp and 148 Nm of torque. The latter is combined with a starter generator that outputs 20 hp, and an electric traction motor that outputs 48 hp and 205 Nm of torque.
Unlike the gasoline internal combustion (ICE) trims, the Juke Hybrid sends its power to its front wheels via an electronic continuously variable transmission (eCVT).

As mentioned above, the latest version of the Nissan Juke isn’t sold here in the Philippines. So the question now is, should Nissan PH bring it in? Regardless of your answer, a local launch for this crossover won’t likely happen soon. Then again, we can still admire the refreshed crossover from afar, right?
