Nissan revealed the Ariya NISMO in Japan featuring a higher peak output along with exclusive design enhancements. The Japanese automaker said that the Ariya crossover SUV is currently NISMO’s flagship electric vehicle (EV) model that offers powerful acceleration and updated styling.
The Nissan Ariya EV NISMO’s exterior design still looks similar to the standard version. However, it is equipped with NISMO body kits that give the Ariya EV a sportier look. It is integrated with a splitter, side skirts, and a rear diffuser, which are all accented by a red trim.

The red trim can also be seen on the EV’s side mirror caps, and the Ariya EV NISMO also comes with a lip spoiler, placed above its distinctive taillights. It then sits on a set of 20-inch aluminum wheels that are said to deliver “superior stability” as well as “enhanced cornering” at high speeds.
Red accents are also integrated into the cabin
Inside, the EV has a black interior theme with splashes of red-colored trims, a design continuation from the exterior. The steering wheel also comes with a red accent, which gives the Nissan Ariya EV NISMO a sporty appeal. Meanwhile, the dashboard has a NISMO badge seen near the Ariya’s climate controls while the seats are finished in suede.
In terms of performance, Nissan said that the Ariya NISMO is engineered to yield “dynamic yet smooth” power delivery–thanks to the greater peak output combined with acceleration tuning and an exclusive NISMO driving mode that maximizes response.
Nissan will be offering the Ariya EV NISMO in two variants: B6 e-4orce and B9 e-4orce. The most significant difference between the two is the battery size, with the B9 getting a larger battery pack.
