Next-gen Suzuki Alto 2019 likely to come soon?

The new Suzuki Alto 2019 is said to come with a new platform.

The Suzuki Alto has been on the market since 1998 and now it seems to be the right time for this hatchback to receive changes.

According to a report from news magazine India Today, the Japanese carmaker has rolled up its sleeves to work on the new-gen Suzuki Alto 2019 and the model may come soon - possibly in late 2019.

It is said that the new Alto will be pampered with new safety features, engines and also a new platform. Besides, Indian Autos Blog also states that the car will be built on a completely new platform and is expected to come equipped with the Heartect modular architecture which is also seen on the all-new Ciaz, Swift and 2nd-gen Ertiga.

Additionally, sources also leaked that there could be more efficient and cleaner powertrains for the new Suzuki Alto 2019. At present, there is no information about specs but it is predicted that the hatch will come with the sub-1000cc formula. Meanwhile, safety features are also expected to be improved, with airbags, standard anti-lock brakes and even stability control.
