With a price tag of less than P500,000, the Suzuki Alto is one of the cheapest cars in the Philippines. Even though it’s now discontinued, meaning you can no longer purchase a brand new Alto, second hand units are still preferred by many Filipino car buyers.
Let’s look through our brief review of the Suzuki Alto Philippines to get a comprehensive understanding of this small hatchback.
Suzuki Alto is a car produced by the Maruti and Suzuki joint venture. This car is designed with ripple details on both the front and side. Especially, the side face inherits the look and elements of the previous Alto, though simple but still exudes its character. Overall, the car's styling is quite neat and sporty.
Compared with the old generation, the upgraded Suzuki Alto has been improved by the manufacturer with a large honeycomb grille, a large headlight cluster divided into two separate parts. The body with embossed ribs running from the head to the rear, especially the appearance of plastic cladding on the car doors.
Unlike the predecessor, the bumper and the grille on the 2019 Suzuki Alto are increased by 35 mm in length. The rear headlight cluster is newly designed, larger than the old version, and looks dynamic. Suzuki Alto's color options are also varied with Red (Uptown Red), White (Superior White), Silver (Silky Silver), Gray (Granit Gray), Green (Mojito Green), and Cerulean Blue.
Because this hatchback has to keep costs at a minimum, the car's interior has been cut down to the most standard level. The dashboard is designed in dark and silver-gray colors.
Besides, Suzuki Alto is also equipped with a 1-DIN audio system with two speakers on the front. In terms of entertainment, this car is pretty much inferior to any vehicle on the market. However, with the manufacturer's focus on the low-end segment, these entertainment facilities are enough for users to enjoy their trip.
Suzuki Alto car has overall dimensions of only 3430 x 1490 x 1475 mm, so it is quite small. However, the intelligent design helps the inside of the vehicle to maximize inner space as much as possible.
Besides, the manufacturer also brings us dark, comfortable reclining seats, which will help the occupants stretch better.
The previous version of the 2019 Suzuki Alto is only equipped with one airbag. However, users can now choose to buy additional airbags to increase safety when using the car in the later version.
