In the coming time, private motorists who use Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) may pay a congestion fee yet this proposal is under consideration.
The government is studying whether to implement congestion pricing among private cars traversing EDSA.

Under the proposal, private motorists who will pass through EDSA will soon pay a certain amount for using the road in the coming time. This system is expected to reduce the number of private vehicles on the road. The agency said that pricing would depend on the type of vehicle and the time of use of EDSA.

While many netizens clap for the The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) trying hard to solve the country’s traffic woes, the agency can also be under severe criticism from those who are not satisfied with this new policy. Many believe this is just a band-aid remedy for the traffic issue.
