He got the top-of-the-line Alpha variant.

Who would have thought that getting a brand-new car was as easy as shopping on Zalora? Yet that’s exactly what 35-year-old paralegal John Luciano did, and now he has the keys to his very own MG ZS Alpha as the grand prize winner in MG Philippines’ partnership with the online fashion store.

The promo was launched in December 2020, where customers only needed to enter a voucher code on every Zalora purchase to avail of a 25-percent discount, along with the chance to get an MG ZS. Winners were drawn last April 14, 2021.

Zalora is best known for cool and stylish clothing, characteristics that complement the MG ZS nameplate. All that John had to do was to plug the ZALORAMG voucher code in for a discount and raffle entry. Next thing he knew, he was already hailed as the lucky winner of a ZS in the range-topping Alpha variant.

“I always see the Zalora promos, Zalora MG, or Zalora ads whenever I shop. I received an SMS, a phone call, and an email from Mr. Anthony Ompoc of Zalora Philippines. First, I was shocked, I thought it was a scam. When I found out it was real, I felt so happy and blessed,” said Luciano.

A subcompact crossover he can now use on a daily basis

The MG ZS is a subcompact crossover that was introduced during the brand local relaunch in 2018 alongside the MG 6 fastback sedan and MG RX5 compact crossover. John Luciano received the subcompact crossover from the MG x Zalora PH partnership, which is the model’s top-of-the-line variant priced at Php 998,888.

Exclusive to the Alpha variant are features such as four more airbags, an 8-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, two-tone 17-inch alloy wheels, and a sporty leather steering wheel, among other notable features. The MG ZS Alpha is powered by a 1.5-liter gasoline engine, sending 118 hp and 150 Nm of torque to the front wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission with Manual Tiptronic Function.
