Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class Launch
The Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class was first introduced by Auto Nation Group in September 2018. It initially came out in three variants which are the GLC 200 as the base variant, the GLC 220d, and the top-spec AMG 4Matic. A facelifted version of the GLC was released in the latter part of 2019, which is the currently marketed 200 FL Exclusive variant.
Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class Exterior
The crossover sports an athletic yet sophisticated vibe, much comparable to the C-Class but comes with more height and width. Among the upgraded features of the GLC-Class are the front grille and the rear designs. They have been refreshed to a more modern look compared to the previous generation GLC’s fascia styling. Multi-beam LED headlamps and LED daytime running lamps are flanked on the chrome-accentuated front grille. The rear gets LED taillights and a new skid plate like the front. The Mercedes-Benz GLC rides on 18-inch light alloy wheels.
Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class Interior
Inside the GLC Philippines is a spacious passenger cabin and an equally expansive trunk with a capacity of over 540 liters even with the rear seats upright. The German brand decked the GLC with a plethora of leather and high-grade materials. Seats are upholstered and padded in authentic Artico leather.
On the dashboard is a multifunction display instrument which is a newly added feature on this version of the GLC. Right below it is a flowing center console that contains the AC vents. The trunk is accessible through a keyless power liftgate.
Technology & Safety Features
The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class comes with a 12.3-inch TFT panel which is becoming a standard among the German brand’s new-generation models. Among its many capabilities are hands-free climate adjustment, song selection, and making phone calls. It is essentially an interactive infotainment system that can be activated by saying “Hey, Mercedes.” Audio comes out of a Burmester surround sound system.
Among its slew of safety features are a rearview camera, front and rear parking sensors, active park assist, self-parking mode, an all-digital instrument display, ABS with EBD and brake assist, and a tire pressure monitoring system.

The 5-seater crossover is engineered based on the C-Class platform. It is equipped with a multi-link suspension for both the front and rear. Stopping power comes from ventilated discs all over. The Mercedes-Benz GLC’s platform and suspension are primarily oriented towards city driving conditions.
Engine & Drivetrain
Under the hood is a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four gasoline engine that produces up to 197 hp and 320 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 9G-Tronic nine-speed automatic transmission that sends power exclusively to the rear wheels.
