The G-Class 2019 still keeps the W463 code which was also used for the previous-gen model. The new Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2019 is named as the G-Class Professional and it is targeted at government fleets and commercial customers. With that in mind, the German carmaker, through Magna Steyr, is assembling classy variants and bare-bones of the G-Class at the same time, making it become one of few manufacturers that made old and new variants of the same car under one plant.

According to the latest car news, when the production starts, the first units will be marketed in the United States after arriving to other markets. Most of the 2nd-gen Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2019 will be the G550 version which is equipped with a 4.0L BiTurbo V8 engine producing 415 hp and 610 Nm of torque. Other versions will be followed after.
