The 2nd facelift for the Mazda BT-50 2018 has just been published. This facelift version is developed totally in the hands of the brand’s Australian division. The BT-50 facelift gains darer look along with more kit and will go on sale for Australia.
Getting some revised designs, the updated BT-50 seems to have lower center of gravity with a front fascia changed, a trapezoidal center air intake surrounded by angular fog light, and squared-off corners.
The grille reminds us of the CX-9 SUV with twin lourves. A dark-grey bumper insert chrome grille twin louvers will come in the GT and higher-end XTR while the XT get an all-black bumper insert and satin-black grille louvres.

Stepping inside, the BT-50 comes standard with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Besides, the interior features an Alpine double-Din head unit which is adorned with a7-inch touchscreen.
This also means that the Australian-market Mazda BT-50 2018 facelift is the only model from the brand that offers both the two smartphone integration technologies. Additionally, a back-up camera comes standard while more chrome sports bar will be added in the GT model thanks to a lamp in the bed, a 12V auxiliary power socket, tailgate central locking, a massive bed liner, and an LED brake light.

Mazda has also expanded the time for each service to 15.000km per year (from 10.000km), therefore, as the company claims, BT-50 owners will save over AU$850 over 5 years. However, it is estimated that the average mileage of the BT-50 is 250,000 km/year, it should be AU$1,920 less costs on service over the period of 5 years. The new-look BT-50 can be had at AU$28,990 (equivalent to approximately P1,129,000).
