Maserati has revealed new images of its track-only car dubbed Project24 donning a more decisive aura. Although, we have to make do with render images for now as the Italian automaker has yet to release actual in-the-metal photos of the said track car.

The new images of the Maserati Project24 show a more decisive demeanor mainly because of its dark blue exterior paint. One may find the new colorway more appealing as compared to the two-tone white and blue paint shown when Maserati first revealed the Project24 track car

Aside from the dark blue paint, the new images show a simpler take on the Project24’s exterior. The massive trident design on the hood, which connotes Maserati’s logo, is not visible in most of the new images released. Meanwhile, the front lip spoiler is now rendered in black rather than the intricate design detail shown on the first set of images for the Project24.

The track-only Project24 is based on the Maserati MC20 supercar introduced in 2020. The Maserati Project24 is the performance-oriented version of the MC20, and it is designed to be exclusively for the track. The Italian car brand said that the Project24 aims to deliver “a new level of adrenaline on the track.”

It is equipped with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo Nettuno V6 gasoline engine that churns out 740 hp, which translates to an additional 119 hp from the street-legal Maserati MC20. Torque rating has yet to be shared by the car brand. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed sequential transmission.

Maserati has also yet to show interior images of the Project24. Previously, the car brand said that it will come with FIA-approved safety features such as an FIA-spec fire extinguisher, and an FIA-homologated fuel tank and roll cage. It is also expected to have racing seats with a six-point harness and an adjustable pedal box.

Only 62 units of the Maserati Project24 will be produced, all of which are said to be unique from one another. This is because Maserati allows its wealthy clients to customize their respective Project24. Each unit will be custom-built by Maserati’s Fuoriserie customization program.
