This facility just keeps getting better.

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has officially announced that the newly opened Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) will now be operational on Saturdays. This is effective starting June 11, 2022, and its operating hours span from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday (June 8, 2022), the LTO is urging people to apply for or renew their non-professional driver’s licenses at the LTO-PITX facility. One can also apply there for the driver’s license “change classification”, and other transactions related to the LTO-issued driver’s license.

Furthermore, one doesn’t need to set up an appointment prior to visiting the LTO-PITX branch. One has to simply show up.

As we’ve reported before when it initially opened, the LTO-PITX facility features modern amenities to ensure the comfort of visiting clients. It has an ample number of comfortable seats, and it is fully air-conditioned. There are also several stores nearby if one is feeling a bit peckish.

Besides the LTO facility, a medical clinic, as well as a driving school are also open on Saturdays as well. Of note, these two can help an applicant with the additional requirements in getting a non-professional driver’s license

Speaking of requirements, an applicant interested in getting the non-professional driver’s license must be 17 years of age or above for Filipinos, and 18 years of age and above for foreigners. Applicants must also be able to read and write in English or Filipino.

If you're constantly busy on the weekdays, then the LTO-PITX will be your go-to LTO branch

In particular, for the non-professional driver’s license, an applicant must also be a holder of a valid student driver’s permit for at least a month before applying for the said license. They must not have any pending traffic violations under the said student’s permit.

Lastly, they must have passed the driver’s theoretical examination, as well as the driving test.
