Kia PH posts highest growth rate in Asia Pacific with sales up by 34%

The Ayala Corporation-owned Kia Philippines saw a record-breaking 34 percent increase in sales over its 2021 figures. This was announced at a thanksgiving event which was attended by the car brand’s dealer principals.

This makes Kia PH one of the fastest-growing Kia distributorships in the Asia Pacific region. This growth figure has also outpaced the local automotive industry's growth rate of 26 percent.  

Kia PH has likewise achieved the distinction of being the Number 1 independent distributor in the region when it comes to retail sales. This is according to Kia Asia Pacific (K-APAC), which covers countries like Australia, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, etc. 

To shed more light on Kia PH’s performance, a report from Carguide.ph says that the car brand saw 5,012 units sold in total in 2022. Leading the charge for the Korean marque locally is the Kia Stonic, which saw a total sales figure of 2,332 units. 

The Kia Carnival also saw success in 2022

Following the Stonic is the Soluto at 914 units. The next-generation Carnival also saw success in the local market with a total of 696 units sold last year.

Kia Philippines also returned the highest customer satisfaction among Asia Pacific distributors within the same year. This is according to a series of surveys conducted by K-APAC itself.

Note that Kia PH is also currently celebrating its fourth-year anniversary. With that said, these successes might just be the best anniversary gift the company could ask for. 

These achievements, however, were won via the hard work of the entirety of the Kia Philippines ecosystem, especially its dealer principals. Among the top-performing Kia PH dealer groups that were recognized during the thanksgiving event were Gateway Motors, Wheels Inc., Iconic Dealerships Inc., Traders of the Laus Group, and Grand Canyon.  

Watch out for the Kia EV6's official launch next month

With regards to its future plans, Kia PH already reported that the all-new EV6 will be officially launched in March 2023. Along with that, the brand is planning to establish a car charging network in partnership with various organizations.  

All 42 Kia dealerships nationwide will likewise get a refreshed exterior and interior design by 2023 as well.
