Just in time for the brand’s four new upcoming car models.

Kia Philippines announced that it will have a total of 50 fully operational dealerships by 2024. This aims to expand the brand’s reach and further establish its foothold in the local automotive scene.

These dealerships will feature the brand's new logo.

The car brand didn’t share an exhaustive list of these dealerships, but these facilities will be located in various regions around the country. They will then feature the new Kia corporate identity and the new logo.

This dealership network expansion will be achieved just in time for the four new models that the brand will introduce to the local market by 2024. As per a previous report, that’s two new internal combustion (ICE) cars and two new electric cars (EVs). One of the ICE models could be the refreshed Seltos, while the EV models might be the EV9 and Sportage Hybrid. Remember also that Kia Global will be adding 15 new EVs to its lineup by 2027.

The additional Kia dealerships will also facilitate the brand’s growth momentum for the coming years. From January 2023 to May 2023, the brand already grew its sales by 19 percent as compared to the same period last year, which translates to 2,100 units sold so far this year. The Stonic is the car brand’s best-selling vehicle, accounting for 48 percent of all Kia cars sold from January 2023 to May 2023.

According to Kia, the Philippine automotive industry is predicted to see a 10 percent growth that's comparable to pre-pandemic levels. That said, its target of 50 dealerships and its four new upcoming models comes just in time when the car industry is already on a steady recovery.

Kia further promises to enhance customer experience by improving its after-sales services. This will be done by improving parts availability and accessibility via a partnership with logistics company Entrego.

It was also guaranteed by Kia that it is set to upgrade its customer-facing staff including its sales consultants and sales managers through training and regular audits. The brand’s technicians will likewise undergo continuous training and certifications to further improve their skills.

Note that these initiatives, along with the brand’s target of having 50 fully operational dealerships are helmed by the brand’s new president: Brian Buendia. He succeeds Kia PH's outgoing President Manny Aligada on July 1, 2023, and he has already made known his commitment to turning the brand into a local leader in the EV market.
