“This exciting announcement sets a precedent for both the consumer electronics industry and the new energy vehicle industry,” said Richard Yu, Executive Director, CEO of the Consumer Business Group, Huawei.

“In the future, we will not only provide leading smart car solutions to help partners build better intelligent vehicles, but also help them sell those through our retail network across China.”

As for the Seres SF95’s capabilities, it can run for over 1,000 km in extended-range mode using its 1.5-liter gasoline engine and electric motor, while a 150-km range is available when the car is in pure electric mode. Moreover, the SF95 is capable of going from 0 to 100 in just 4.68 seconds.

Since the SF95 is technically a Huawei vehicle, it is integrated with the Huawei HiCar solutions which enables owners to switch between their mobile phone applications to the vehicle’s central control panel, providing access to navigation, music, and more. It is also installed with a three-dimensional surround audio system tuned by Huawei Sound core technicians for entertainment on the go.

There are two different price points offered on the Seres SF95 in the Chinese market. The 2WD variant comes with a 216,800 CNY (or Php 1,616,198 direct conversion) price tag, while the 4WD variant is priced at 246,800 CNY (or Php 1,839,841 direct conversion).
