The new Batmobile from the upcoming Batman film can be yours

As a 1:10 scale model, that is.

If you’re a movie buff or a big fan of the Dark Knight of Gotham, then you’ve probably seen the trailer for The Batman. The film is coming to theaters in March 2022, with Robert Pattinson taking on the role of the titular character.

What might catch the attention of car nerds though is the interesting choice of design for the Batmobile. It’s not going to be a hyper modern tank-like vehicle like the Tumbler in Christopher Nolan’s Batman series of movies, nor is it the fighter jet-inspired and presumably aerodynamic classic Bat-car of old. Instead, it assumes the form of a tough-looking, V8-powered muscle car. Nice.

The best part about the new Batmobile though is that you can actually buy and drive one. It is however, a 1:10 scale remote-controlled car courtesy of Hot Wheels and as far as the pictures goes, it is pretty faithful to its cinematic counterpart.

To be specific, this premium Hot Wheels model is so intricate when it comes to details that it features working headlights and taillights, as well as a rear-mounted V8 with all the right details. It even features a very meticulous-looking interior complete with gauges, a driver’s seat, a roll bar, a center console and dashboard.

Packaged along with this nifty collectible is a figure of Bruce Wayne himself all geared up in his Batsuit. And as you drive this thing, he will move along with the steering wheel and shift between the forward and reverse gear, thus giving the illusion that the mini-Batman is the one doing the driving.

To top it all off, this Hot Wheels RC car comes packaged with enough accessories to build a diorama of the Batcave. Well, at least the garage section.

So, how much will this collectible toy cost? To put it simply, it isn’t cheap. You’ll have to fork over $500 (around Php 25k) to buy this great-looking toy. Presale orders will then open on October 20, 2021. We can also assume that this will be sold in limited quantities.
