In a Philkotse interview with HCPI General Manager Atty. Louie Soriano, he mentioned that the company is seeking to achieve an annual sales number of 1,500 units for the third-gen Honda HR-V. That translates to around 120 units per month which is quite an improvement over the subcompact crossover’s last year.

The outgoing Honda HR-V managed to sell 417 units in 2021. With that in mind, HCPI could be looking at around 259.7-percent of sales improvement by the end of 2022.

To achieve the said sales feat, HCPI is offering its subcompact crossover in two variants, namely the S and V Turbo. The HR-V S is the model’s entry-level variant, coming with features such as full LED headlights, fabric seats, and Honda Sensing. It uses a 1.5-liter DOHC gasoline engine with 119 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque.

For those who are looking for a more premium crossover, the top-spec HR-V V Turbo could be their go-to variant. Its most significant upgrade is the addition of a turbocharger on the same engine, delivering 175 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque. As standard, both variants get a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Atty. Soriano also said that HCPI might soon introduce the RS trim that is made available in Indonesia. It boasts sportier aesthetic enhancements inside and out, such as exclusive RS aero kits and red interior stitching. This should expand the reach of the subcompact crossover, especially for Filipino car buyers who are looking for a sporty-looking vehicle.

The all-new Honda HR-V is now available with a price that starts at Php 1,250,000 and goes up to Php 1,598,000. Included in the paint options are Ignite Red Metallic, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, and Premium Opal White Silver Pearl (exclusive to HR-V V).
